Position Summary
AdobeR AcrobatR X software helps you create high‐impact PDF communications, collaborate more easily, and streamline reviews. The successful candidate will join a team that will develop new frameworks/features, maintain product features, and have responsibility for the full development cycle, from early specs, prototypes to implementation to release and maintenance.
We are urgently looking for Deployment Engineers / InstallShield professionals for Adobe Acrobat. Designated as Member Technical Staff / Computer Scientist, would be responsible for handling all aspects of design and development of Acrobat’s installers, custom actions, installer automation scripts, and release. Additionally he would also be responsible for designing and developing usable components. .

Areas of expertise and responsibilities
• Ensure high quality in delivering installers.
• Interface with product teams to facilitate installer creation

On Windows
• Will need to work in InstallShield and Orca for MSI related work.
• Will need to work in Visual Studio to write custom actions and components in C/C++.

ON Mac –
• Will need to work with PackageMaker and shell scripts for building the package.
• Will need to work with XCode for writing components in C/C++/Objective C.
• Will write functional and technical specs to document the installation process.

Requirements
• 4 or more years’ of installer/packaging engineering experience and optionally Installer creation/maintenance.
• B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from a premier instituteC/C++.
• Experience in deployment technologies or in depth knowledge of the same would be preferred.
• Knowledge of MSI concepts, InstallShield and Orca will be preferred.
• Strong scripting expertise on at-least two of the Windows, Mac or UNIX platforms.
• Solid programming/debugging/troubleshooting skills in system level software development.
• Strong understanding of software installer management and related
• Good knowledge of InstallShield environment, Windows installer (MSI) technology and/or Apple’s PackageMaker.
• Proven ability to develop solutions that automates installer creation, builds and releases of software.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong problem solving skills.
• Must be able to communicate and coordinate well with both engineers and Managers.
